At full length, this piece extends as a long runner of blue plaid woven from cotton carpet warp. In this cropped section, the plaid is interrupted by fragments from a deconstructed rug, removed and transplanted into the warp where the rug is partially reconstructed and altered.

The first two images are from an installation ad Rockella Space in 2025, after the ladder spent 6 years in storage, resulting in rot and discoloration. The second two images are from the original installation of the ladder and rug in 2018.

worms in my mouth again is a performance, a ritual, an embodied disassociation, and an incantation for good digestion. I sewed and dyed this nylon tube, connecting it between two airblowers on either side of a freight elevator. The elevator is stopped between two floors. From inside the tube, I use hidden zippers to incrementally release new segments of the tube, extending its length throughout the performance. The tube grows more than 50 feet throughout a 15 minute performance. 

Cyclical timers activate the fans at different intervals, sending large whooshes of air through the tube. As the blowers shift off and on like bodily states, the tube amplifies my movements. Each inflation is an expansion or an opportunity to reconfigure and explore the room. Quiet moments between inflations allow both the tube and myself to rest in existential sigh.

2021

This body of work was all made in 2021 across three residencies.

Collard greens dipped in bees wax and adhered to the ceiling.This sculpture is part of a larger installation made in collaboration with Laura McAdams at Stoveworks, TN. We spelunked throughout the vast cave systems sprawling beneath Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina. During our time at stoneworks, we studied cave formations, traveled through a dream realm, and roller skated.

Seasons weaving II

This was the first weaving I made on my own loom after learning the weaving from Betty Vera in North Adams, MA during a residency at Mass MoCa.

Dead Ends

This spiral basket was made of hair that I held onto for a few years after getting a big hair cut in 2019.

Burning out

While on residency at I-park in Lyme Connecticut, I made floating candles from bees wax and other ephemeral sculptures.
